So...We live in a world that they tell us only what they want us to listen.They show us only what they wants us to see.In 2008's Greece there is no doubt that government manipulates television.We pay taxes for all god damn year long.A regular household here , pays about 38.8% of their income (without children).
Yet social insurance sucks , our roads are filled with holes and prices are going higher day by day on products like milk,bread and meat.Since we joined Europe , our country has got a lot of funds from Europe's cashier in order to finish "works" of evolution and progress (roads, forest rebuild etc).
I ll say 2 words people. FUCKING BULLSHIT. It's a common sense here the fact that Greek Government overprices those "works".So if a major road here that was raised with European funds was priced 800.000.000 Euros (I m quite confident and every Greek citizen will support this) they have kept in their pockets at least 100mil euros.Of course I'm a regular human being , I am not rich and I have no proof of this.We all seem to know it but it seems nobody can actually get a gun and execute those bastards or get proof of their evil deeds. Our politicians are nothing more than thieves.They are living on our back and on our effort to live a decent life.
But this is not all of it. I m confident that you are familiar with Siemens Corruption Scandal involved with Greek politicians and our national Telecommunication Service Provider (OTE).
Funny shit is that if you open television here in Greece you will not see anything about this.You will see about a politician that fucked his secretary and he tried to commit suicide because he was being blackmailed and about Archbishop Christodoulos that died.
They had live his funeral and as I m writing this they still do.They show a dead corpse all fucking day long while our Government is fucking involved in one of Europe's greatest financial scandals.
I would not be surprised if in Germany people from Siemens would go to jail and here in Greece get away.There is no justice people.
They have blinded the world they show us trash on television to keep the regular citizen in a dream world.They want us slaves my fellowman.Wake up and spread the word.
Things are not as they seem.Don't be vain and shallow people think about it.Start questioning the shit they show you and tell you.

I totally agree with you, but you should know that TV is the same (or almost the same) in every country of the world...
I live in the U.K. now, and, BBC, for example, produces excellent documentaries. However, when there was a war in Yugoslavia, for example, this was only a trivial news for the TV in UK. I was not living in UK then, but some of my friends did, and they had told me that the war was not an important issue. They used to talk about the war for 1-2 minutes, and after more 'important' news, such as a cat being rescued by a fireman!!!
Anyway, what I want to say is that no one should only depend on TV for information. Fortunately, we live in the age of Internet and most people can do their own research in order to be informed from many sources each time.
We cannot expect to learn the truth from the TV...

i think your title should be "WORLD 2008" and people should stop thinking that it's only Greece. Do you think that North America is any better? Everything you descibed happens in Canada and the US as well. It's not such a wonderland over here and I wish people would stop thinking that money grows on trees. Health care sucks, you have to be dying to be looked at and even then they tell you it's your own fault for having for example cancer. The government is full of scandals and there is no doubt that the money they say goes into programs also goes into their pockets. TV does not show half of the truth and Americans are alot more brainwashed than Canadians, there is no way in hell I would live there. Yet people in Greece and the rest of Europe dream about the amazing life they would have in the US. Well wake up and smell the coffee, it's all fake. You have control of your life and you can if you want make a difference wherever you are. Even in Greece. One thing I noticed living there is that there is a lot of negativity created around their everyday life around issues such as work and politics. You don't have to have recognition from the governement or even half the population to be successful, because at the end of the day what is what is truly important i...you. You should make the difference at work at home, in your country. People are used to being spoon fed and don't want to do things for themselves, and whoever says that they can't go forward because of the government and other external factors are in this group of spoon fed people. If you want to be successful and stand out you have to do it for yourself. There is a way, there is always a way, you just have to believe it. Instead, educated individuals who can make a difference leave their country because the of the government. They don't understand that if they stayed they would contribute their knowledge towards their people, in turn they would be rewarded. It doesn't happen overnight either, not even in North America. People's lives are spent over a restaurant stove or on an office chair all day long in order to make ends meet. Inflation is on the rise, people can't afford housing and everyone is in debt. People in Canada earn more than some in Greece, yet they are still working 2 or 3 jobs to pay their loans and house and car and vacations. So the more you have the more you need, and you create this viscous circle for yourself. What ever happened to humble, simple, living your own life instead of creating a need for everything multibillion dollar companies market and buying into it. People that can't afford things or people that don't need things buy just to be up with society so they are all the same. It's all a load of crap. Live for the moment cause no one will be there to help you when you are dying. That's our world.
Yes grk you are right I m trying to make my own stand in this world however trying to tell people that they have been spoon fed all along often causes alienation and in the deep end you will either be marked as crazy or just a fool.Yes most people nowadays are imprisoned by their commitments that themselves created.There is always a choice to be different and mark you own way in this world however not following the common accepted sense makes it harder to be acknowledged.
It's a matter of choice everything in this world you can always ditch your house and the society you live in and go up in a mountain build a wooden tree and leave with forest hunt.Everything has it's risk and cost.I perfectly understand what you are saying.

Yes we can't learn the truth from tv and we must not seek it either.The more you understand and the more you know it's most likely you ll get sick.You will get sick for sure when your deepest and darkest thoughts about lies they tell us turn out to be right, then I believe you would actually think "I wish i was stupid".
